CEimB: NY Breakfast

This week's recipe was tettering on the edge of being the first CEimB I opted out of since joining our group.  I don't like smoked salmon. The texture just doesn't agree with my tongue receptors.  However, in the spirit of trying anything, I went for it, purchasing the smallest quantity of smoked salmon available, 4 oz.  Ted was all in for trying it so on Monday morning, it was  New York Breakfast, picked by Sara of Imafoodblog.  Sara is at the helm of our CEimB group so make sure you take a trip over to her blog. I made two changes [...]

Is it Friday Yet?

Today’s workout, even though it was Friday, was simply weights.  I used to designate Friday as my official day off working out no matter what. But since I’m doing the new program, things had to change.  Besides, I was looking forward to a HUGE but healthy breakfast..         But first, it was the 4th day of Get Your Bod Back (from Muscleandperformancemag)and this is what it looked like:  Chest and Biceps Incline Barbell Press:  4 sets 15, 12, 10, 8 Flat Bench Dumbbell Flies:  4 sets 12, 10 , 10, 10 Incline Dumbbell Flies: 3 sets 12, [...]

Healthy Granola and Get Your Bod Back

Remember back in May, I was SO lucky to be a winner in a MixMyGranola giveaway?  It was the best granola I have ever had because I made it myself without having to clean up one bowl.   MixMyGranola is up to great stuff once again.  In the last few months, they have added trail mixes, a Granola Club, and best of all Chocolate mini morsels, Peanut M&M’s, and …. get ready for this….TIRAMISU CARAMEL!  Can that be healthy?   Mix your own granola with no mess, no cleanup, no baking.  Super! If you want to try MixMyGranola, use the code:  APPLECRUMBLES and get [...]

Components of a Healthy Breakfast and Using An SLR

What does stress feel like in your body?  I start getting hot. Then my head feels like it’s being squeezed right at the top like cone head syndrome.    I’ve still been pulling hair out trying to get things going on this new site.  It can be so frustrating.  To top that off, work has been super busy this week. The market is up and we certainly reaped the rewards this week. A super stress reliever or way to escape the stress source is a great workout and breakfast.  I did the last day of weeks 1 and 2 on [...]

A Spartan Graduation

This is a half and half cake.  One side is yellow cake with strawberries and vanilla pudding filling and the other side is chocolate cake with raspberries and vanilla pudding filling.  The frosting is a sturdy buttercream because graduation parties are typically held outside and the cake may be exposed to a little summer heat. Congratulations Michael. You made the grade!   This morning's activities included a 4 mile walk/jog with Shane.  We saw a few people truckin' along, but not as many people out there as usual. Surprising because it's a nice mild morning. The excitement happened at home [...]

Carousel Horses,Mondays Exercise and Eats

My favorite things. Some are musical, some are not.  I collect carousel horses.  Here are just a few of my collection. There are too many to put into one post. Maybe more another time. Now it's onto exercise and eats.  .... Monday Morning Back To The Gym:   I did work out last week, it was just so busy that AM hours didn't allow blog time. This week, if all goes well, my routine and AM healthy eats will be posted.  Warm Up:  3.4 mile treadmill run. Working Chest and Biceps:  Chest work out: First set is a warm up, 3 [...]
