Favorite Eats and Flavor of Fall Muffins

You have until TOMORROW but why wait – ENTER THE GIVEAWAY NOW! It’s November and I’m thinking about beginning my training for the BIG ONE.  The race date is  April 18th and it seems so far away right now but I won’t take my races lightly.  I’m a bundle of nerves running a 5K so you can imagine the anxiety suffered when looking at 26.2 miles ahead of me.  I train a little extra than what is expected.  It’s beyond my comprehension how some people can run, for example a 15K race when they have only trained for 5 miles.  [...]

Chocolate with Francois Honey Madeleines

A couple of things before we talk about another Payard recipe. First, did you enter the GIVEAWAY for the 5 Day Intensive Yoga Course?  If not, here is the link.  Second, running ramblings:  It dawned on me the other day why Shane had so much energy doing a 9 mile run then a 7 mile run.  Not only is the weather cooler, but he has been on a taper!  For the entire month of October, while Ted and I have been on and off planes to Kansas and Florida, Shane has been kicking back with walking, some frisbee playing but [...]

CEimB: Blueberry Orange French Toast Bake

Since my day began with a 6 1/2 mile treadmill run followed by a very wet walk with Shane for 2 1/2 miles, I felt fully justified in indulging in this delicious recipe.  Good carbs to fuel my race on Sunday. The recipe title for this week’s CEimB is actually “Blueberry-Almond French Toast Bake” but you know I can’t leave well enough alone so I changed it. First things first:  Heide of Chez Zero, thank you for a wonderful recipe choice. Really, really good. This is the Apple Crumbles version of Ellie’s recipe.  The oranges?  Since I had to zest [...]
