Jay Robb

Blueberries and Cream

This morning's Spiru-Tein shake wasn't that bad. Still a little too thick for my taste.  The one positive aspect of this protein shake is that it stays mixed. The others I use, VPX and Jay Robb (my favorites) do not stay mixed.  You see, I blend my shake, take my vitamins and supplements, put the oatmeal on, then run upstairs to get washed up.  By the time I come back downstairs to the kitchen, the VPX and Jay Robb have separated.  That did not happen with the Spiru-Tein.  My fruit this morning was 1/2 a grapefruit. I also had 1/2 of [...]

Too Cold to Eat

I was a bit reluctant to check the outside temperature when I entered the kitchen this morning. To my surprise, it was 8 degrees. That's a PLUS 8 DEGREES!  That was good news (can you believe I'm saying that?!).  So after a Jay Robb Chocolate Shake I got to it and did a little variety aerobics. 10 minutes of each:  Treadmill Run. Elliptical. Rowing. Bicycle. 35 minutes of back and triceps, increasing the weight after each set. I used the cable machine for Back and dumbells for Triceps.  4 sets, 15 reps each. Lat pulldowns (wide grip) + Overhead Tri Extensions [...]

Good Wednesday

Good Morning!  The sun isn't shining yet, but I have hopes.  I had been looking forward to watching "House" last night, but it was a repeat. So Ted and I watched a little of "Mary Poppins" until falling asleep on the couch, only to wake up again at 9:30, take Shane out in the cold, then trudge on up to bed.   Began the day with a Jay Robb preworkout shake.  That took me through 4 miles on the T/M and 40 minutes of a chest and bicep workout.  12 - 15 reps. x 4 sets. Using the cable machine, I did [...]

Get the Bathing Suits

Can you believe it is 52 Degrees!  The sun isn't shining and it's raining but... 52 Degrees! Unfortunately the temp is predicted to drop by the end of today, but this warm spell is nice because it keeps the snow accumulation in check. Today's work out was 40 minutes on the ET.  40 minutes  chest and biceps. 40 minutes walking really fast with Shane. The motivating factor for the fast walk this morning was 1.  It was raining, and 2. I didn't dress for rain, I dressed for warm weather walking.  All in all, good morning activities. Breakfast:  Prework out [...]
