This morning’s Spiru-Tein shake wasn’t that bad. Still a little too thick for my taste.  The one positive aspect of this protein shake is that it stays mixed. The others I use, VPX and Jay Robb (my favorites) do not stay mixed.  You see, I blend my shake, take my vitamins and supplements, put the oatmeal on, then run upstairs to get washed up.  By the time I come back downstairs to the kitchen, the VPX and Jay Robb have separated.  That did not happen with the Spiru-Tein.

dscn0400My fruit this morning was 1/2 a grapefruit. I also had 1/2 of a large banana.  Part of the banana I added to my cooking cereal and the other, I sliced and put a few with my grapefruit and a few on top of my cooked cereal.

dscn0401The cereal was Bob’s Red Mill 5 Grain with 1 TBS Buckwheat Groats added for texture.  As previously discussed, I added some of the banana to cook with my cereal as well as 1 tsp of raisins.

dscn0402My workout today was chest and biceps.  I warmed up with 40 minutes on the Elliptical. 40 minutes of weights: incline chest press, incline dumbbell press, lying chest flies with dumbbells, cable flies.  Cable curls-2 hands. Cable Curls- 1 hand. Curls using the rope. Concentration curls.  All 4 sets x 12 to 15 reps.

Shane and I jogged 2.5 miles. He is still a bit stiff in his back leg.

About last night….

Ted went to exchange the DVD after dinner last night…probably snuck out to buy a sandwich or something.   He brought home “Marie and Bruce” with Julianne Moore and Matthew Broderick.  You would have thought with those two stars it wouldn’t have been a bad movie.  Think again.  It was one of the worst movies we’ve seen in a long time.  It begins with absolutely foul language.  The story is depressing about a dysfunctional couple…like we need to hear more of that these days.  We couldn’t watch it and decided to call it quits about 2/3rds way through.  Bad, bad movie.

This day looks pretty good.  The weather is warmer and there is nothing too demanding on the agenda.  I’m still working through that Quality manual and it’s tough editing.  I’d much rather be chit chatting with customers. Maybe next week.

You all have a great day and stay healthy.
