Finally.  I present to you my NEW kitchen!

Kitchen new2

But wait…before I show you Old vs. New, I have to share my first long run of this training season for the fall marathons.  18 miles.  Didn’t think I would make it.  The last 3 days were spent dreading getting up and getting through those 18 long miles.  PLUS, I had a massage for 9:30 am so I had to be on the road by 5:30 at the latest.

Shane ran with me for 6 miles.  We got soaked by a 20 minute down pour which included thunder and lightening. I was ready to hit the treadmill. It let off so I dropped Shane off and went out on my own around the Switchbacks.  After being attached by horse flys, I ran to the eagle and back home which brought me to a little over 15 miles.  Zoey was ready and waiting.  We went out to finish just under 3 for 18 miles total in just over 10 minutes per mile, right where I wanted to be for my first long run. Slow, easy, logging miles not speed.

Now the kitchen.

I’ll take you through the comparison shots.

Old: The dining area.

New:  The dining area which now has a love seat on the left and the kitchen island to the right for casual eating. We have a formal dining room so we don’t need two tables anymore.  Note the sliding glass doors. Love them!

Old:  The old cook top with the stove next to it on the left.

New:  The new VIKING gas range top at the opposite end of the kitchen now, with another steam oven in the kitchen island.

Steam oven front left and microwave also in the kitchen island towards the back *with the red and white personalized hand towel on it (from my friend Peggy).

And that’s our new kitchen.  It took over 2 months to renovate.  We love the distressed cherry cabinets.  We love the Viking range.  The new Kitchenaid dishwasher and microwave are pretty neat and now that the Kitchenaid steam oven is working, we are enjoying that too. BUT… the fridge.  The NEW Kitchenaid refrigerator can take a walk because it isn’t working right.  We are STILL waiting for feedback regarding the problem.

Expect good things to happen in this kitchen.  It’s made for a passionate cook/baker and that is certainly me!
