Ted and I were curious how this years Delta Lake Triathlon would play out. You see the Sprint athletes were starting well before the Intermediate athletes. With one road in and out of the park for athletes as well as regular Sunday afternoon park attendees, it had the makings of mass confusion. But no. No confusion because ATCEndurance and all the volunteers made sure the race went smoothly without mishap. It was another great day for every one and of course my all star Triathlete, Ted.
After a good swim, it was onto the bike
Zoey and I caught him going into the second leg of the bike
Another transition to run
and 3 laps around Delta Lake Park
Finally a SMASHING Finish on a gorgeous day.
Success! Pride! Accomplishment! YES!
Ted’s comments: “Loved the swim. Fun! It was the easiest part of today’s event. Tired on the bike. The run was better than last year, in spite of the Achilles problem. “
When asked if he was happy with his time, with the event… Ted’s response: “Well?!” *No matter what Ted thinks, he’s my hero and completely amazes me that he can complete a triathlon.

Forgot to post earlier but your new kitchen is GORGEOUS. I have serious kitchen remodel envy going on right now. You guys did a wonderful job!
Congrats to Ted – it sounds like the weather was a bit cooler for him and not quite as bad as some of the days have been lately. Thank goodness. I have no idea how triathletes do the transitions. I wouldn’t want to do ANYTHING all soaking wet from the swim!! 🙂
Thanks. Ted did great and… we absolutely love our kitchen. But I don’t want to cook because I don’t want to get it dirty. We’re still grilling outside 😉
