Run it off and Caramel Butterball Squares

This morning, I ran off my sweet indulgence of yesterday.  4 miles on the treadmill.  A 35 minute chest and shoulder workout.  4.3 miles outside.  It was mild outside this morning, 46 degrees. I ran with just a shirt and light tight.  The rain didn’t hit until later, yay! As for that sweet indulgence, it was the epic failing of will power.  This is my confession…. Somewhere there is a Pretzel under there

Did you get your exercise in this week?   I fizzled a  little as the week went on. The holiday break will be most welcome for me.  Ted mentioned last night that we have a lot of resting and wining (that’s the white or red type not the “ , , ” type) to do in the next couple of weeks.  I said “ GREAT! The Ritz Bar

After all the holiday entertaining, are you sometimes left with all sorts of crackers from those cheese and cracker trays?   We are. I usually put the crackers in large baggies and consequently end up tossing them away.  The following recipe helps to use up left over crackers.  After all, you may not eat the crackers but you will go for a good, sweet  treat. 2 rolls Ritz Crackers (mine were reduced fat Ritz) 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar 1/2 cup butter (I used Promise Healthy Choice Margarine) Using a food processor, add the crackers, cocoa, and sugar.
