Boston Marathon Postponed

How do I feel about this? Boston postponed until September 14th, 2020. I signed up to run JackNJill Downhill marathon in Boise Idaho on September 13th. Obviously Boston takes priority so I am hoping to defer JNJ until 2021 but I'm smack dap in the middle of my 10 year habit to run Boston in April. Holy cow! What an upset to my routine. Training has been revised from marathon specific to maintenance phase running. My goal since 2011, my first Boston Marathon, was to qualify every year and run 10 consecutive Boston Marathons. Snickers Marathon 2020 Albany GA

Marathon number 33 and 18th state. Every marathon seems like the first with the restless night, the nervousness, the desire for this run to be the best. Maybe that’s good? This marathon was part of my training for Boston next month and I ran 13 miles on Tuesday followed by 8 miles Wednesday then a series of 4 milers cut down Thurs and Fri leading into race day Saturday. Indianapolis Monumental Marathon 2019

In researching most likely BQ marathons for fall running, it seemed a lot of people achieved their goal on this Indianapolis course. 2019 Wineglass Marathon Race Recap

In 2010 I ran my first marathon. It was the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, NY. Ten years later, I am back in Corning. Cazenovia 10 Mile Race 2019

It was going to be hot and humid. Start time was 8:45 am. We had just over an hour to drive to get to Cazenovia so I picked up my race packet at Fleet in Syracuse the day before.
