You know sometimes when you make the most ridiculous faux pas and you feel like you could just hide your head forever?  Well, if it doesn’t happen to you, you are SO lucky. Me? – happens all the time. Big foot in mouth. I’m really getting used to the taste.  Any-who… I came across this great blog/article by Bob Cesca, Political Author, Blogger which was posted on 12/31/08 and if you haven’t seen it, you should really check it out. I’ve included an amusing portion of it herein for all of us who do stumble along and commit those blunders in all innocence.

The site reference is http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-cesca/the-most-ridiculous-polit_b_154528.html   “The Most Ridiculous Political Quote of 2008”

In the following paragraph, he is talking about, none other than Sarah Palin:

“….. Here now, The Most Ridiculous Political Quote of the Year, courtesy of Sarah Palin on October 4, 2008:

Q: One of the things you talked about last night was the flexibility the vice president has– PALIN: Yeah. Q: –Uh. What did you mean by that?

PALIN: Uh. That thankfully our founders were wise enough to say we have this position and it’s constitutional — vice president will be able to be not only the position flexible, but it’s gonna be those other duties as assigned by the president. A simple thing.

That last sort-of sentence — “a simple thing” — was actually correct, believe it or not. The vice president’s job description, according to the Constitution, is an extraordinarilysimple thing. Which, consequently, makes it unbelievably difficult to butcher. Like Sarah Palin did. Multiple times. But in this instance, on the FOX News Channel with Carl Cameron, she couldn’t even form actual sentences using words that line up to form a coherent thought. In fact, I would love to see the sentence structure for “vice president will be able to be not only the position flexible.” Position flexible?”

As I said, amusing article.  So … on to the job at hand: Eats of the day!

vegetarian-sausage-patty

The lunch was the usual spinach, pepper, cucumber, cherry tom. mix but sitting there right on top is the last of the Vegetarian Sausage Patties.  Good lunch. Hit the spot.

I’m getting discouraged because I can’t seem to break my afternoon constant snacking on protein bars.  If you remember, way back when, I told you my fav was the CarbRite bar:

carbrite

It still is my fav. but I would so like to eat something more “natural” for my afternoon snack. I need it to be somewhat sweet and chewy.  If you have any ideas for me, help?!

Tonight we make a carrot cake delivery… picture most likely in tomorrows post.  Then our usual Friday night dinner. No – we are not burned out from eating out …yet.  We received some really terrific dinner certificates from Ted’s brother Dave and family which allows us to pick from any number of places in and outside of our area.  Looking forward to using them.

That’s it for now. Have YOU finished celebrating yet?
