Trick of Treat

Ted’s alarm went off at about 4:35am. I don’t set mine on Fridays because Fridays are my one day a week to do nothing.  But today, I got up with Ted’s alarm and decided to go for a long walk with Shane.

Shane has had quite a bit of mischievous energy this week. Wednesday night, he lept onto the couch to wrestle with Ted. BAD DOG!  Last night, when left to his own doings while Ted worked and I bathed, he decided that our expensive rug in the living room was a much better chew toy than any one of his 25 doggy chew items.  BAD, BAD DOG!  So this morning, we walked to the end of the Parkway at a quick pace. It took us just over an hour and we did just about 5 miles.  It didn’t work. We got home and Shane proceeded to do racing laps around the house.  My fault, I wanted an energetic running partner!

Sue isn’t in the office today. She and Sam are out and about celebrating their 20 something wedding anniversary.  Congrats and Best Wishes Sue and Sam!

Dinner last night came out good… well, I liked it. Ted refused to try my Vegetarian Sloppy Joes. He made his own with mammal meat.  I added 1/4 can of diced tomatoes, 1 can of sweet peas, about 1 tbs onion and let simmer about 1/2 hour.  I spooned it on top of about 1 cup mashed squash. The squash was simply cut in half, put in a Pyrex dish with a little water and microwaved for about 15 minutes on high(it was a big butternut). No salt or anything needed. Squash has its own sweetness and flavor that I don’t usually mess with.  I did top the “Joe” with a sprinkle of feta cheese.  Mmmmm, Good!

Now, to get some real work done!  Happy Friday! BOOO!
