What better way to spend a weekend when it kicks off with a Friday night wedding, continues on Saturday with a family graduation and wraps it up with delicious chocolate-on- chocolate candy? No better way in my mind.
Congratulations to Eileen and David. A beautiful wedding. A stunning bride. Lots of fun.
Did I mention funky dancing
Fun, fun, fun
David’s Graduation
And MORE FUN! Super good food, fun times with family, another festive event. We were even further entertained by “Fat Pants”
That Karen (the lucky graduate’s mom) thinks of everything. She even had toys for the little ones.
What better way to finish off the weekend than with CHOCOLATE! This delicious chocolate candy is super easy. It was made 10 minutes before leaving for David’s graduation.
Melt in your mouth wonderful.
Page 175 of A Taste of Utica cook book and posted by Mario. Don’t be afraid to add any combination of goodies suited to your taste. e.g raisins, Chinese Noodles, nuts, coconut….
- 1 bag dark chocolate chips
- 1 bag white chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup peanut butter (I used chunky)
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups Puffed Rice Cereal
Place the chips and peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave for one minute, stir then microwave 1/2 a minute more. Stir until the mixture is all melted and smooth. Add the rice cereal and stir.
Spread onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment or wax paper and allow to set. Cut into squares…OR, spoon 3/4 tsp into mini cups and allow to set as little candies.
Store in a cool area in tightly sealed containers, such as cookie tins.
It’s like biting into a little piece of Heaven.
It’s weekends like this that make you want to give up your day job.
Oh what a fun weekend!! Congrats to cousin David and his new bride. Congrats to my other cousin David on graduating high school!
What a wonderful family weekend 🙂
Congratulations! The bride was beatiful! This afternoon I’m going to try out this chocholate candy, and I think adding raisins. My whole family likes it, especially my son 🙂 Hope you’ll have many weekends like this!
