Boy was I feeling grumpy and miserable Sunday afternoon. I didn’t feel right. Everything felt nasty. My head had a very low grade headache. My sinuses were feeling pressurized. My neck was sore and my stomach was topsy turvy. Shane was annoying me. He kept bugging to eat, then I put it down and he didn’t want it. I played with him in the snow outside, then he wanted more. Ted came home from snow boarding and asked if I was going next week. I said: “No. I don’t like it”. Well…that’s not totally true, I just didn’t like it at that exact moment he asked me. What a grump!
On a more pleasant note, this morning, while walking to the golf course, we encountered a mysterious lady…
We believe this was a lady… quite obvious WHY we made that assumption, but who knows?People wear all sorts of attire these days. We shouldn’t judge 🙂 She had an apple slice for lips.
Later in the day, from our kitchen window, the biggest snow flakes were falling from the sky
The birds weren’t on the feeder. Probably a good thing because those flakes were so HUGE they would have knocked their little “tweets” off.
Exercise plans? Yes, they are in place and look something like this:
- Monday, Completed: 32 min. run + 35 min. weights(chest/bi’s) + 3.62 mile walk
- Tuesday: 50 min. cross train + 25 min weights + 35 – 40 min. walk/jog
- Wednesday: 60 min. run + 25 min weights + 25 –40 min walk
- Thursday: 30 min. cross + 30 min. weights + 30 min run or 3 + miles
- Friday: long walk 50 –60 minutes.
- Saturday: 10 mile run for the Heart Run
- Sunday: Rest, rest, rest….or cross country ski …. or down hill ski 🙁
I’m sure this week will bring all sorts of good things and hope my “Seasonal Affective Disorder, S.A.D” disappears as quickly as it came on. Winter is getting old. We need SUN! So I created my own with some Sun Shine Oats:
- 1/4 cup + 1 TBS dry Steel Cut Oats – added about 3/4 cup water or so (I don’t measure any more)
- 1 small box of SUN maid raisins
- 1 tsp of SUNflower seeds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 banana – sliced and cooked with the oats
- 1/2 of a SUNkist (not really – it was a no name from CA) orange
- My day is looking brighter all ready. What’s your never fail “pick-me-up”?
Joanne
I was in a grump last night myself. I think I was just exhausted with our schedules. We never slow down. Shoot I usually don’t even have a minute to sit down and blog on the weekend. I love your sunny oatmeal though!
My no fail pick me up is when I can score a quiet moment to myself to relax. Bath time, cup of tea, a few minutes of sunshine on the front porch. Whatever!
