My REAL age is 8 years younger than I am!  Yay!  So I’m 30 something.      I actually think I could knock off another 2 years making it 10 years younger because some of the responses were left blank. Is my eye sight going? Didn’t I see them?

How do I know this about my age?  Because I took the test at REALAGE dot com. Have you taken the test?   What if you’re 17 and you take the test and it subtracts 8 years?  Would a 17 year old really want to be 9 years old again?  Doubt it.

I took today off from work because I had an eye appointment.  All good there.  I’m ahead of the game according to my Doctor.  I wear the CRT lenses (Corneal Refractive Therapy) which work out great most of the time.  If I put them in to work on the computer or read, then the term “dry eyes”  just doesn’t quite describe the discomfort.  Not good.  I love not having to wear contacts during the day so limiting reading and computer at night is worth it.

Wearing glasses really bothers me.  I can’t even wear sun glasses to run.  I wear a visor instead.  If you wear glasses (sun glasses or prescription) do they annoy you when exercising?

Shane also had a doctors appointment today for a shot and an annual physical.  All good with him as well.  He didn’t like the Vet very much.  He doesn’t like strangers grabbing his groin area and pressing.  Can’t blame him for that!

He was a bit sullen for a while but soon felt better when he was able to play some Frisbee

Of course it IS my birthday so there’s a reason to take it off and the real reason for the REAL AGE test.  Just to make sure I’m not any older than I thought.

Ted and I are going snow boarding next week and we bought the warm clothes needed for our trip. Those were my gift from Ted along with a few other surprises:

I collect carousel horses and even though I’m running out of room, I still see certain ones I ask for on special occasions.

A “Birthday Chronicle” for the year of my birth…

Way back when…Congress debates consumer prices:

  • Congressmen complain that the average American can’t afford the cost of a new home at under $20,000.
  • Republicans felt that .52 cents for 1/2 gallon of milk was a solid consumer bargain.
  • Democrats point out that .68 cents for a pound of bacon was too expensive.
  • Many House members believed .22 cents for a loaf of bread was reasonable.
  • The average US worker earned about $6300. annual wage.

It was year 4,630, the Year of the Rabbit on the Chinese Lunar Calendar. “A very auspicious year”.

Whose hungry?

It was afternoon snack time before I knew it.  I spent a lot of the day reading from my Kindle about marathon training and writing down the 16 week program. That’s a little different from the 18 week program I’m following so maybe I’ll merge the two.  What ever feels right, right?!

My snack was a 5.3 oz cup of Brown Cow All Natural Greek Yogurt.  Vanilla flavor with 1 TBS almonds and craisins.

Mix it all up …

While eating my yogurt, I looked out the kitchen window and saw the creek. It was running so high.  Because it’s warm here today(45 deg) and has been raining, we’ve had flood warnings.

I grabbed my camera, put it on shutter priority mode with a setting of 1/13 second because it was cloudy, and ventured along the creek.

It was running fast and strong.  I had to climb down and get a little closer

Good thing I was able to climb back out.  That isn’t very pretty water, is it? I bet it was cold as well.

One more venture for my BIG day, Ted and I are going to look at new bathroom fixtures.  We are finally going to re-do our 2 guest bathrooms.  They’re small so it shouldn’t be a huge project.

Come on, Ted.  Hang up the phone so we can get going. “
