A Peanut Butter Surprise

Wow! I mean… there is no other way to say it but   WOW! Checked the mail yesterday and this is what I found:  Eight jars of the best peanut butter I’ve ever tasted. Not kidding!  I’ve always loved Teddie peanut butter because it was so pure and tasty but when we jumped right into our Peanut Butter Boy PB, we found new love. It was so natural tasting and not as sweet.  The texture for the creamy blend is smooth and soft AND the oil wasn’t separated.  A recipe is included on the jar for Cinnamon Peanut Butter. Here’s more [...]

Cross Train and Matcha Green Tea Brownies

After waking up with my right foot still not feeling 100%, I decided a day of cross training might not hurt my Boston training.  Since I knew the mental reward wouldn’t be there in comparison to the feeling after a good run, I decided to get another kind of satisfaction:  the enjoyment of a good old musical.  Gigi. After I came back from walking the dogs, I grabbed my tablet, head phones and got on the elliptical then played one of my all time favorite movies. After 85 minutes, the movie was still going so I worked with some weights [...]

Artisan Nut Thins: Crisp and Delish

If you’re not familiar with Naturally Savvy, you need to get familiar.  It’s a source for the healthier side of product purchasing. But it’s not only that. Naturally Savvy is all about healthy living.  The other day, I received a product called Artisan Nut Thins.    Flavors of Sesame Seed, Multi Seeds, and Flax Seeds.  Being the crispy cracker lover that I am, all three boxes were opened.  Blue Diamond hit the nail right on the head with this product. These are slightly salted but full of flavor.  I was eating them plain but Ted happened into the kitchen and [...]

Fat Chance Book Review

About a month ago, a book arrived in the mail.  What a find and a terrific opportunity to review this book!  It’s called “Fat Chance! The No-Going-Back Weight Loss Workbook”.  The author Susan Maiava was looking for a book to help her lose weight but like most people, she couldn’t find anything that was specifically geared toward what she thought she could manage. Susan decided to write her own book, a workbook.  This book is a journal of progress from changing old habits to a new healthier lifestyle.  It hits all the trouble spots:  reducing hunger, dealing with emotional eating, [...]
