Race day jitters and all that. Not sure why but it happens. I was travelling out to the race with two friends.   We are well matched in pace for training runs but when Amy hits the race course, Shirley and I are left eating her dust.   We have fun. Syracuse Half Marathon and Healthy Whole Grain Lasagna

This week, I used a local half marathon for my tempo training run. After running a 2 mile warm up with the dogs, Ted and I left for Syracuse.  The drive out there didn’t look promising and never mind very motivating! A white out on the thruway out to Syracuse. Syracuse Half Marathon 2013 and Zoey’s First Birthday

It was a good day. It FELT like it was going to be a good day as I ran with Shane for a 2 mile warm up before leaving the house. It was a PR at 1:46:24, average pace 8:08.  Catherine Valley was a 1:46:48 so it was close, but I’ll take it. It was a good enough time for a 3rd place age group finish.
