Comforting Noise and Applebutter Mini Bundt Cakes
Early in the morning, the train passes through the Utica station. The whistle blows. The noise is muted and sounds like a haunted call in the distance. Somehow this apparitional alert comforts me. Whether laying in bed or outside in the morning darkness running, it has a calming affect. I can’t say why, maybe a childhood memory deep in the dusty corners of my mind?
