On the road to Dayton

After an enjoyable afternoon and evening in Erie, PA, we set off to Dayton, OH, home of the US Air Force Marathon.  We took the not-so-direct route. The Football Hall of Fame was calling our names.  We enjoyed an hour walking through football history. One Bronco the first year…. Two Broncos the second year. Then there was the biggest super bowl ring ever made… Of course there was much more than just jewelry at the Hall of Fame but I couldn’t leave without making sure I left my mark and designed the winning ring for 2013… One more stop before [...]

Kansas: Fifteen Hours Later

The California Raisin Bread Contest. It all starts here and now.  But it was a long time getting to the “here and now” based on our airport experience.  Be prepared.  The initial part of this post is all about the well executed art of WHINING! Syracuse at 7 am.  Chicago at 8:45 am.  It was Chicago that tested our mature sense of patience.  Given one gate, yet boarding was at another.  We were on the plane, everyone was being seated. A Simple Recap

Monday: Having a little trouble here getting internet service. We needed a coffee fix so here we sit offering a update at a Starbucks.  Not bad since Starbucks happens to be one of my favorite rest stops to refuel. This morning Shane and I went for a 4 mile trek around Heritage. Walk/Jog , this/that.  It was cold.  I made my self a nice warming breakfast to take the chill away.  Not a real pretty picture, but it got the job done.       As for the rest of the day... shop, shop, shop. Sunday News. Couldn't write [...]
