This was the PERFECT lunch following an enjoyable 26 1/2 mile bike ride around Utica.  It was fresh, power packed with bean protein, healthy fats, and garden fresh tomatoes and herbs.  Labor day will soon be here. Orange Chicken Salad with Sweet Potato Croutons

Running, weights, and bike rides  I was awake at 3:40 am and the alarm had just begun to glow.  I decided I would wait for it to sound instead of getting up.  By 4:10 I was in the gym.  Shoulders and abs were on tap today.  Great workout for shoulders, 12 reps per set and beginning with cables: presses x 4 sets.  upright rows x 4 sets. lateral raises x 4 sets.  Using a set of 20 lbs dumbbells, I did more presses x 4 sets.  In between the shoulder sets, abs were worked x 4.  16 sets of shoulders [...]

That’s a Big Banana

Early this morning, much earlier than anyone on vacation should get up, Shane and I went for a run.  Shane didn’t want to run.  He slowed us down.  We were suppose to do 40 minutes ending with 6 strides.  We ended up doing 30 minutes with 6 strides for a total of 4.2 miles.  We had to go for an early run because we were leaving for the airport at 6:30 am.   Ted was hopping a plane to Florida to visit with his daughter Pam.  He’ll be back on Sunday when I pick him up and we head back to [...]
