The Boilermaker 15K Road Race. It’s quite an event in Utica. The crowd is out in full force supporting runners with water, ice, popsicles, gin and tonics….gin and tonics? Well, yeah, that’s what I heard when passing one group handing out cups. I didn’t touch that one. We all line up in our color coded corrals and wait for the BOOM. Another Boilermaker 15K Approaches

2010 from Saranac Last year: 1:14:51. I was THRILLED! This year: who knows. It depends on the day. As with most runners, of course I’d like to run a faster. Saturday to occupy the mind

Friday was amazing simply because of a 5 minute interval on the way home for lunch. I was stopped by two police officers. Both police officers told me to pull over farther up the road as The Ride for Missing Children cyclists would be passing by, all 500 PLUS of them! I sat there with the top down on “sporty” as they rode past. They yelled at me “Nice Wheels!” I yelled back “Yours too”.
