Hamstring Hurts and Matcha “Meatball” Cookies

I haven’t had this kind of pain in my hamstring since 2011.  Why now?! Maybe because things seem to come full circle in life and aches and pains are one of those things.  Right hamstring is super tight and restrictive in movement so a visit to the PT tomorrow has been scheduled. Lets hope there is a quick solution because Marine Corp Marathon is just weeks away and then it’s right into Space Coast at the end of November. Oh to run pain free again! That’s all I ask. The Pain & Squash Goat Cheese Pie in a Pumpkin Sunflower Crust with Pomegranate Sauce

Restrain Yourself and Oh SOYJOY!

The stupidity of it all. I go through the day with a pain in my leg yet my mind still struggles to devise a way to run.  As if my leg won’t know.  It’s like trying to disconnect your body from your brain. My first week’s plan for Boston training is a goal of 30 miles total.  I want to go into the training feeling 100% but I’m not sure that leg is going to be 100%.  There’s a knot in it that won’t go away.  I’ll keep stretching and strengthening with no weight then see what happens Monday morning.  [...]
