Portland Oregon Day Before the Marathon

We just don’t sleep well in hotels.  It’s not because it was noisy, it wasn’t.  It’s just not home. After a restless night,  we finally decided to get out of bed and go for a very easy 3 mile run to loosen up the legs before race day.  Not as many cyclists out this morning but there were runners every which way.  Temperature was 50 degrees, sun shining, a morning made for runners. Portland Oregon Day 2

It’s Friday and another drop dead gorgeous day in Portland.  We took advantage of the beautiful day, got up and got running. While waiting for Ted, I took to the treadmill which had the Oh So NOT Interesting View of the empty pool, and ran 3 miles.  Why run on the treadmill when it was so beautiful outside? Portland OREGON Day 1

It was a rough start. Up at 3:30 and leaving the house by 4:15 am, thinking we had plenty of time to get our flight in Syracuse.  Not the case.   1.
