It was a cold morning.  We didn’t want to get out of bed but then there was so much to look forward to, our enthusiasm over came the need to stay warm under the sheets.   Our Bed and Breakfast, simply called “20 Fair Street”, offered a breakfast at 8 AM of eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh fruit, an assortment of breads and muffins, coffee, and juices.  They accommodated my diet of egg whites and no meat.  I tasted Ted’s pancake, it was light and fluffy.  We chose an apple, banana, melon, grapes and watermelon for our fruity fiber fill up.  Then [...]

Newport Rhode Island – Day 1

Friday, day one in Rhode Island was off to a very troublesome start.  First, neither Ted nor I packed the night before.  There were a few chores around the house that needed to be done such as vacuuming and dropping off the garbage.  Those were put on hold.  We ended up scurrying around and leaving late.  Here are a few of the other problems encountered as we set out on our trip.
