I lied but came clean and Spinach Lentil Soup with Assorted Crackers

I lied. Last night, I DID get 8 hours of sleep and then some. Remaining true to myself, I came clean about running and ran because I wanted to be out there, not trying to break some personal record. The other day, in my list of twelve don'ts, I said I don't sleep 8 hours. Monday night my body and mind were exhausted. While Ted was downstairs working up a sweat on the trainer, I set myself onto the couch and fell asleep at 7:15 pm. I heard someone mutter "Joanne? Joanne...you're asleep." The forecast says “showers likely”. The temperatures don’t look that great either but at least they aren’t in the teens.   Do you know anyone running in the Boston Marathon? Easy Eats: Scallops are one of the easiest meals to put on the table.  If [...]

Cooking is Dangerous

Did you check out my crab and lime button  recipe from the other night?  It was very good, but there was an incident while making the buttons.  Upon removing them from the oven, I somehow (you WILL wonder "how the....") burned my neck on the edge of the baking sheet.  Why did I have the pan up so high? Who knows. My life is very painful. I've said it before.  I went to work today with what looked like a hicky in the middle of my neck.  Ted did give me a look with raised brow. It didn't [...]
