Lake Placid New York: Day 3

This is what I call a perfect breakfast from a warm, rustic place in town called The Dancing Bears.  It was a robust, flavorful cup of coffee with an omelet made with all my favorites.  The omelet was Eggbeaters, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, with pepper jack cheese (they didn’t have feta which was the only negative). Following the perfect weekend breakfast, we had some time to walk down the Main Street of Lake Placid and take some shots of the Olympic facilities. Lake Placid New York: Day 2

The bed wasn’t comfortable at the Comfort Suites Hotel.  It was soft and “warped”.  I spent most of the night grasping for the side of the bed so I would roll down into the middle.  Breakfast was very basic.  The buffet table offered assorted sweet donuts, cold hard boiled eggs, assorted packets of flavored oatmeal, breads, bagels, and yogurt.  They had a waffle maker and French toast you were welcome to heat up. Lake Placid, New York: Day 1

It took us 3 1/2 hours to drive from our home in Utica to Lake Placid, New York.  This was my first visit to this well know Olympic area.  It rained during most of our drive but we still managed to appreciate the Fall scenery along the way. We met with the group for the annual cocktail party at 6pm.  An assortment of cheeses and appetizer meats, crackers were offered.
