CEimB WW Pancakes with Nut Topping

This is one really good Sunday breakfast pancake or mid-day treat (according to Ted).  Don’t let the long list of ingredients scare you, it’s an easy recipe.  The long list is simply due to the topping ingredients which takes no time at all to put together. Who picked this weeks wonderful Ellie recipe?  Nicole of Dishin.  Visit her site to see how she worked this recipe.  It can also be found HERE. The recipe says to toast all the nuts (almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds) in a skillet.  I didn’t want to do this so I turned the [...]

A private little party

I love stormy skies.  When the rain is moving out and the sun is taking over, the sky looks kind of spooky, all dark on one side and bright on the other.  On the way to work, to the left of me was the sun taking over…. To the right of me, was the storm from the night before moving out…. Love it! Didn’t miss a workout.  Thursday in the gym, it was an easy 3.3 miles on the treadmill while watching “Paula’s Party”.  She was making “My Friend Flicker Pie” since she couldn’t say “Snickers Pie”…. and I was [...]

Vegetarian Foie Gras

What a Sunday we had.  First of all, we made darned sure Shane was going to let us sleep Sunday morning.  After drinking too many gulps of water to count around 8 pm, we decided trouble would be brewing if he didn’t go outside before bed.  Shane and I took a dark and creepy stroll around the yard at 11:30pm until all was “said and done”.  The three of us slept until 6:20 am.  That’s called sleeping in in this house.  We were out the door by 7 for our morning stroll.  4.3 walking miles plus some Frisbee toss.  Now [...]
