Grilled Tuna

Asian Inspired Grilled Tuna with Fresh Watermelon over Field Greens

A few things to catch you up on my life before getting to the recipe. Bet you can’t wait!  First, we just returned from an exciting (in more ways than one, good and bad) trip to South Carolina. We stayed with Mom and Dad and spent a day and a half with Pam and Heman to celebrate Pam’s birthday.  Pam is a Health Counselor for clean and healthy living. Check her out HERE! We took the dogs and enjoyed, unfortunately, only one hour at the beach.  We were busy the entire trip and before we knew it, had to eek [...]

Big footed family

I think our family has big feet. My Uncle is visiting my parents in South Carolina this week. He is over from England and my mother said they were going out today to get him some new shoes.  He wears a size 14.  That’s right. SIZE 14 !!!!  The following comparison resulted in my conclusion that I have big feet:  Both Ted’s daughters are taller than I am at 5’8” and 5’10’.  Respective shoe sizes are about 8 1/2 and 10.  I am 5’6”.  I wear a 9 or 9 1/2 .  My feet hadn’t used to be that big. [...]

The booklet of 36 recipes is so enlightening in regards to the uses for vinegar.  Vinegar is used in hot and cold dishes, as a dressing AND as an ingredient.  Soups, salads, side dishes and entrees. Amazing.  The following recipe was adjusted for portion size and on-hand ingredients but the original is found on page 20 of the noted [...]

Tuna A La Marseillaise

This recipe came from a super cook book, "Mediterranean light" by Martha Rose Shulman.  I had originally planned tuna casserole for tonight but dropped the above mentioned cookbook on my foot while rushing around for work this morning and it fell open to page 285, "Tuna A La Marseillaise".  It had to be a sign. So I went downstairs and told Ted..."We're not having tuna casserole tonight, we are having Tuna A La Marseillaise".  His response was identical to when I told him we were having tuna casserole ..."Sounds good".  Sometimes his enthusiasm kills me. Tuna A La Marseillaise, Serves [...]
