Happy St. Patty’s Saturday

How’s your St. Patrick’s day going?  We’ve had a super duper day.  I’ll tell you mine if you’ll tell me yours. It began… I got up early and started out on an 18 mile run.  It turned out to be a 20 mile run because I saw someone running with their dog and missed my Shane so much, when I got home, after 18 miles, I wanted to at least run a little with my favorite partner.  PLUS the legs were feeling pretty good. The morning was perfect. My stomach was a little “off” but I can’t blame it on [...]

Is that your plan for the New Year? Health, Happiness, and Success. Believe it and make it happen. We brought in the New Year in Myrtle Beach.  We enjoyed the festivities at a few places and finally toasted at midnight in our favorite little place “Pawley's Island Pub”. The following recipes are just a start.  Mission Foods [...]

The Canal Classic Bike Ride

Last week, I received a notice about a Sunday morning bike ride called the Canal Classic,  a pre-race ride for all cycling racers.  I posted a message to the MVBC group asking if “C” riders could do the ride.  The response was impressive.  Most everyone said “You should do the ride. There are a few challenging hills, but it’s a great ride and CHUCK is buying all the ladies ice cream”.  Sounded good to me, the ice cream that is. Here is the link on mapmyride.  Don’t under estimate a 6% incline. HOLY MOLY those hills are endless.  Before I [...]
