A Busy Life

Such a busy week. We had customers from the UK and Japan in on Thursday and Friday and it entailed a lot of talking and listening.  The meetings went well and my partner and I are both glad it’s over.  Although we did enjoy the three gentleman, it’s a lot of work when we entertain customers in our facility. I was ready for a good glass of wine when getting home on Friday This was a bottle we received in our Geerlings & Wade shipment. It was a spicy blackberry California Syrah.  “The aromas tinged with earth and toasty French [...]

Meeting Places

Ted and I didn't get out of the house for our Friday night dinner until 7:30pm.  In preparation for tonight's event, there were two items that would be better if made the day before, the 2 cheese and leek tart and the molasses whipped sweet potatoes.  They are now in "holding" until later tonight when they will be [...]

Wining and Dining

Still no dishwasher. Tuesday is the earliest we can get a repair guy to come fix the problem.  He will regret waiting so long because there are quite a few dirty dishes in there and on a couple of occasions we had fish.  I don't even like to think about it.  Last night, Ted and I had time for a little happy hour fine wine before heading to dinner.  We opened the bottle Bob and Nancy gave us at Thanksgiving and it was wonderful.  Ted said it reminded him of the wines he had made. We then went [...]
