FFF, Lost Legs and Apple Pie Cake–Low Fat

FFF = Family Fun Friday. We had a BBQ up at Sue and Sam’s house in Forestport.  Shane had to come with us because he wasn’t feeling well all day.  In fact, we had to go to the vet for some meds.  I didn’t want to leave him home alone. The food BBQ’d by young Sammy D was so good.  Everyone enjoyed chicken, pork, and beef while Sammy D cooked swordfish for me.  We had salt potatoes, mixed veg and a wonderfully fresh tossed salad. Page 97 of our book offers a really good recipe for BBQ Beef and EASY! As quoted in our book:  “This is a great recipe” by Jo Giacovelli Serves 10 – 12 2 1/2 to 3 lb lean, boneless chuck roast (make sure you use CHUCK ROAST) 1/4 cup tomato ketchup 1 TBS Dijon mustard 1 1/2  TBS brown sugar 1 garlic clove, crushed 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce 2 TBS red wine vinegar 1/4 tsp liquid smoke flavoring ( a must) 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper Place beef in slow cooker.  Combine remaining ingredients.  Pour over meat.  Cover and [...]

Mondays Routine and Weekend Parties

Monday starts the work week and working out week. Checking the legs….”are you ready?”  Legs respond:  “NO!”  The brain never listens to the legs anyway.  Interval work: 2 mile warm up.  3 minutes hard running and 3 minutes easy (I mostly walked in between. not much energy this morning) x 8 sets. Weights:  Chest and shoulders for 35 minutes.  *Legs were worked late Sunday afternoon.
