Nine days before Christmas and I broke my wrist. Still have cookies to make but that’s going to be tough. I’m right handed and as you might guess, I broke my right wrist.
Never one to give up, I found a recipe really easy to make.
Seven Layer Cookie Bars Makes 24 squares
You will need; 13 x 9 baking pan. Preheat oven to 350 deg F
- 1/2 c margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk *make sure it has the pull tab for opening if you are working with a broken limb like I was
- 1 1/4 c dark chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c mini marshmallows
- 1 1/2 c flaked coconut
- 1 c chopped nuts
Combine melted margarine and graham cracker crumbs. Press into bottom of pan.
Top with milk, spread evenly over crumbs and margarine.
Layer with remaining ingredients then press down firmly with back of large spoon.
Bake 25 minutes. Cool then cut. Drizzle with additional melted chocolate if desired.
Easy and exceptionally delicious!
If you broke your wrist, what would be your go to recipe? … dessert or dinner?

So sorry about your wrist! Hope you heal quickly. These are some of my favorite cookie bars. We always had them growing up. I love anything with eagle brand. Yum. Merry Christmas!
Thank you Peggy. It’s tough dealing with this right now but…all things are meant to
try us. Staying positive. Happy, healthy holidays to you.
