Old Factory Natural Soy Candles

by Joanne on October 26, 2014

Such a typical Fall day.  The wind was blowing, rain in the air, chilly, and just right for a long walk with Shane and Zoey.  Shane brought his favorite Frisbee along so when we got into the deserted golf course, it was play time.

There was a little frustration on Shane’s part when Zoey stole the toy and wouldn’t give it back but in the end, Shane got his toy and Zoey just enjoyed running back and forth along the clean cut fairways while occasionally running back and torturing me with obsessive barking. All in all, a nice brisk 3 1/2 – 4 mile walk.

Speaking of Fall days and seasonal moods, I was offered the opportunity to review a product and since I love the ambiance a delicate, clean burning candle gives a room, I leapt at the chance.

Old Factory Soy Candles are sold exclusively on Amazon.com. They are hand-poured in the USA with natural soy wax, self-trimming cotton candle wicks, and premium fragrance oils. Each gift set contains 3 different scented candles. Each candle can be expected to burn clean for 20 hours. The discrete jar design makes it a perfect complement for any room. The gift sets are themed around a group of related fragrances so there is something for every occasion.

I chose the seasonal set called Fall Harvest:  Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry, and Autumn Leaves.  The first candle burned was Autumn Leaves:  A wonderfully light scent and not overbearing while enjoying a healthy meal.

We have yet to try the other two but based on experience from taking very deep, repeated breaths (because I didn’t want to stop smelling those AWESOME aromas), it seems the strongest is the Cranberry then the Pumpkin Spice.  The Cranberry has an interesting “zesty” smell to it.  The Pumpkin is just as you would imagine, hinting of the holidays and pumpkin pies, muffins, and cakes.

Here are the other scents available.  It’s tough to chose just one!
Happy Holidays: Christmas Tree, Candy Cane, Gingerbread
Winter Wonderland : Hot Cocoa, Roasted Chestnut, First Snow
Romance :Rose Petals, Champagne, Dark Chocolate
Fresh & Clean : Lemongrass, Olive Blossom, Fresh Linen
Spa Day : Cucumber, Lemongrass, Green Tea
Vacation : Sea Breeze, Hawaiian Lei, Awapuhi
Coffee Shop : Coffee Bean, Hazelnut, Chai Tea
Man Cave: Straight Razor, Leather, Mahogany
High as a Kite : Cannabis, Incense, Bag O’ Cookies
New Born Baby Baby Powder, Baby Shampoo, First Blanket
50 Shades :Leather, Vanilla Sex, Jasmine Bubbles

The aroma is pure and fresh. The candle is just the right size, in a 2 oz discrete jar, allowing a room to smell warm and cozy without the background odor of candles burning.

I love that your pups play frisbee! We have a hard enough time getting ours to bring the ball back to us after we throw it. lol.
I’m not a big candle burner – but I do love them around Christmas time to help set the mood while decorating the tree!
