Did anyone dress up and party this past weekend? We did. We ALL did.
and finally…”PLLEEEAASE take this thing off of me!”
Zoey: “Hey guys. What are we doing?!”
“Not real sure I like this”
“I’ll try to escape…COME ON SHANE! We’re outta here!”
and Zoey…”Ok. ENOUGH pictures. I’m sticking out my tongue: NA NA!”
The adults played as well: Dr. D’Capitate and Nurse Honey.
That nurses costume was pretty thin so I wore some red and white underneath.
We went to the Turning Stone where Ted assured me there would by a lot of folk in costume. We got there at 7:30 pm. As we walked through the casino floor, no one…NOT A SINGLE PERSON was in costume. I said “Ah…Ted? If we don’t see anyone else in costume I’m outta here.” We headed to the bar area for a glass of wine and saw ONE girl in costume. Not that seeing her made me feel any better but by the time I had drank 1/2 of that glass of wine, I wasn’t so concerned. We trolled the area for about an hour then went back to the bar for a 2nd glass of wine. There were plenty of dressed up people heading in by that time. The bartender gave us a thumbs up and said “Hey! A Theme!”. Another gal looked at us smiling and gave another thumbs up. One couple stopped as they were heading out and said they liked our get-up. She was a nurse and said sexy was NICE.
It was a fun night out and we were home by 10:30 so it wasn’t a late one. In fact, we both got up Sunday morning to run our scheduled training runs.
Ted and I ran 7 1/2 miles up the hills of the golf course. We came back home and I headed out with Shane for 5 1/2, brought him back then took Zoey to finish up for a total of 14 miles. Slow running but at least we missed the rain and got the miles in.
How about that HEALTHY, PUMPKIN, LIP-SMACKIN’ Shake?!
Mmmm! This was a recipe using Arbonne Vanilla Vegan friendly protein powder. It’s absolutely satisfying in flavor and fullness. One more benefit to this recipe: you will have some pumpkin puree left over to make an all natural vitamin rich (A, C, and zinc) facial. That’s right: A FACIAL!
First, lets enjoy a super empowering, nutritionally dense shake
- 2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder
- 7 oz ice cold water
- 4 ice cubes
- 3/4 cups 100% pumpkin puree
- pinch of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg
Mix all the above in a blender and drink it down. Totally Enjoy!
Now treat yourself to a Pumpkin Facial. Your skin is screaming for it.
- 2 tsp. 100% pumpkin puree
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp milk *If you have dry skin OR *1/4 tsp apple cider vinegar if you have oily skin
Mix all the ingredients together and spread on your face, avoiding eyes. Leave to set for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water and a clean wash cloth.
Did you do something fun this past weekend?
