Another day at the Atlantic Design and Manufacturing Trade show.  Booths were all set up.

By Wednesday, we were attracting more attention.

Our distributor from Germany joined us for all three days of show fun

You know at trade shows you typically find some sort of table attraction to draw you in and most of the time it’s candy, hand sanitizer, bags, key chains, pens and other what-not items.?  Being the “foodie” that I am, my focus was on …

1. The Healthy New York State apples (being that we are a New York State manufacturing company

and

2.  the candy for the not so health focused food hounds at the show

Now I’m not sure but I tend to think the apples were more popular than the candy.

Even though the show got a little boring when there was a lull in activity, the day seemed to pass fairly quickly.  We spoke to many interesting people and the “coming out” of our new product line resulted in a lot of prospects, contacts, and leads.

We have another few hours on Thursday before heading home.  I miss my hubby and my pup so the sooner the better for this working gal.

Dining out in Philadelphia:

My partner, our distributor and I enjoyed all the best in Philadelphia after working hard at the show.  We enjoyed dinner at the Continental Restaurant Tuesday night.

Pretty cool retro restaurant offering a tapas menu and something for everyone.  The food was EXCELLENT!

Wednesday night was  Wayne’s (my partner) pick.  He chose Maggliano’s just a block or two from the hotel and SOOO wonderfully Italian.

We began with Ulrich’s (our German distributor) choice of bruschetta:  Baked garlic toast topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinegar and roasted garlic

bruschetta

Simple tossed Italian salads: Iceberg lettuce, arugula, Kalamata olives, red onions and pepperoncini. Served with Italian vinaigrette.

My entree was the Balsamic-Glazed Salmon baked on cedar paper with orzo and spinach

AMAZING!

What a dinner! What enjoyable conversation!

We’ll close the show tomorrow and hope it brings much success to our small upstate New York business.
