This week we have a recipe posted by Rainie Piccione but originally from Helen McGill-Balsamo.
If you LOVE deviled eggs, you are going to just adore Buffalo eggs.
“Buffalo” style is as it suggests, imagine those crispy little wings you love accompanying your game day pizza. You got it!
12 hard cooked eggs
½ tsp salt
½ cup crumbled blue cheese
¼ tsp pepper
¼ cup mayonnaise
½ tsp celery salt
1 TBS fresh minced parsley
2 ribs finely diced celery
½ tsp (or more) Tabasco sauce
Mash the yolks with all ingredients but the celery.
Spoon or pipe the yolks into the egg whites.
Garnish with the diced celery.
If you want a little extra heat, sprinkle the top with cayenne pepper.
Enjoy!
Oh, I like it!
Unique idea. I think I might put a bit of food coloring in them to make them even a bit more orange. Just so people have an idea that what they are about to eat is NOT a standard deviled egg.
(I once had a bad experience with a fabulous kalamata-feta pinwheele. It’s a great savory treat. And, it’s usually a huge hit. But, the colors look like cinnamon. And, I had someone toss it in their mouth thinking would be a sweet bit – and they got salty and almost spit it out.)
So, now I’m very careful to let folks know what to expect 😉
I’ll be trying those eggs soon!
Not the usual devilish eggs..these are worlds better 😉
I do LOVE deviled eggs. Had some just last night. Will try these for sure soon. I hope you and Ted have a fabulous Thanksgiving with loving family and/or friends enjoying all your favorite foods!!
How creative! I love deviled eggs and I love buffalo-themed/seasoned foods – sounds like a win!
MMMMMMMMMMM,…I never tried the normal deviled eggs so I want to try this version to sart with!
The eggs look wonderful, all spiced up! yum! 🙂
