What a great morning “after” we had. Both Ted and I ran the Syracuse ARC races, Ted the 5K placing 115 out of 220 men and I ran the Half marathon placing 25 out of 221 women. We had a great time in Syracuse but the fun didn’t stop on Saturday. Sunday, after watching Shane try to catch some ducks grazing in the golf course, we went on a 37 mile bike ride to Rome.
Our first stop: Boulevard Diner in Oriskany for breakfast.
The fresh fruit bowl.
The tomato and feta Egg Beater omelet with home fries and dry rye toast.
That was enough to get me through the ride which was pretty flat. There was one challenging hill on the way home which was a lot of fun to go down on the way out.
We stopped at Griffiss to take some photos.
Big plane!
Little plane.
It was a great ride. The weather was perfect. We took it slow, averaging about 13 mph and enjoying the scenery. We even stopped for an ice coffee at Dunkin Donuts in Rome.
Fun weekend with good fitness fun.
Now we’re chillin’ with feet up and a cool glass of Chard!
What did you do for “Fitness Fun” this weekend?
love rye and with feta and eggs wow! love it!
Hi Joanne
Congrats to you and Ted, especially for placing 25 out of such a big field and to have gone for a 37 mile bike ride! That wonderful breakky looks truly deserved. I spent this weekend watching the proceedings at the WTC memorial and I am heartened to see the courage and pride of your countrymen. I wrote a small tribute post to all the victim of 9/11 and their families during this memorial weekend and wish you all well in the US.

Weight Loss and being healthy in general are in my opinion about having an active lifestyle and having fun like you guys do it. I ran a 5K this weekend in St. Charles, IL. I am getting more and more into running and participating in races, which is a lot of fun. Thanks for your post!
For “fun” I went to my favorite spinning instructor yesterday morning and Jay and I took the pups for a long walk to get frozen yogurt in the afternoon. 🙂
Wow! Good for you and Congrats on placing 25 – that’s fantastic 🙂
Looks like it was a beautiful ride.
