We have so much activity in our back yard, the camera should always be at the ready.
Mom deer had a baby.
They must consider our yard the “safe zone” because Mom and Babe are always hanging around.
On this particular night, Ted had just stopped the lawn mower, while Mom and Babe were watching behind the trees. They stood still as Ted made his way across the yard. I came out the door and Mom began walking towards the woods. Babe was very busy sniffing around, until Mom said the word and …ZING! He was off!
We have a couple of fox that don’t feel threatened by us either. This morning, they walked very close to the house and down the garden path, just like they owned the place.
I love seeing all the animals in our yard but I’m afraid that Shane will catch sight of them while outside and take off in hot pursuit.
Do you have wildlife living in your back yard?

Have you ever tried replacing the mayo with yogurt in potato or macaroni salad? Do you notice a big difference?
We live so close to the city that we don’t have wildlife in our yard ever. But I do see lots of deer when I go for a run in the metroparks – it’s usually the highlight of my run! 🙂
I’m not a macaroni salad kind of girl. Potato either. Never have been – not sure why?
I’ve never made macaroni salad before – but that recipie looks easy and delicious!
The baby deer is so adorable. I’d love to see wildlife like that around my house but live too far from any substantial woods to see anything.
I love your version of macaroni salad! I’m not a fan of mayo at all but definitely a huge fan of greek yogurt. Thank you for sharing. I’m book marking this recipe!
Beautiful wildlife photos too!
I hope the deer make an appearance for our visit!!
See you real soon 🙂
We have alot of wild animals in our backyard and the huge field behind us, wolves and deer. The howling at night is an amazing sound!
I’m not a big macaroni fan, probably mainly because of all that mayo, not a mayo fan at all, but your recipe looks good!
