Hey Everyone! Great news! My mince pies were featured on Gather (Tuesday). Check it out (#2 under the food finds): Gather Spotlight
But first, lets talk workout.
Monday morning began with aches and pains. I’m not sure what from but it stopped me from working out. So I had 37 minutes on the Elliptical when I got home from work. Ted had taken Shane to run some errands in the car and I made use of “home alone” time.
Tuesday morning, determined to overcome any set backs, I got up at the usual time and ran 3.3 miles. Did a quick 20 minute upper body workout (with abs) using only the cable machine. Since I finished early, I was out the door with the Shaner and we briskly walked for 4 miles. It was a cold morning but there was no wind so even at 18 degrees it was a pleasant experience.
Work was slow….. S…..L …..O….W…..as in everyone must be already on vacation. There were only four of us in Tuesday. Five of us Wednesday and Thursday ….we’re all off. Toes up and time to celebrate life, happiness, health, and the coming New Year.
What about 2 Cakes?
Two cakes for a small family. That’s okay especially because this family likes my cakes.
It’s a Christmas celebration obviously.
There had to be a cake for the Mrs….. Vanilla cake with a filling of blueberries mixed with vanilla cream and a buttercream frosting.
There had to be a cake for the Mr….. Chocolate cake with a filling of raspberries mixed with chocolate cream and a buttercream frosting.
Happy cake eating!
Joanne
I’m happy you felt better on Tuesday! I am starting to really like using the cable machine. I don’t think I am using it 100% correctly, but I am excited to learn more about it. It’s so versatile, which is funny, because when you look at it, it’s so intimidating!
Way to rally and get back on the workout wagon. Shane is such a cutie!
What adorable cakes! I hope you’re feeling back to normal (sounds like you’re well on your way!)
