Wednesday’s workout was simply aerobics, or should have been.  I did get up (about 20 minutes after the alarm went off) but the original plan just didn’t happen.  It was aerobic day and a break from the weights.  The soreness in my lower body was so debilitating that even walking hurt.  Being a believer in “when it’s sore, work it out”, that’s exactly what I tried.  The end result was 30 minutes on the Elliptical (with my eyes closed) and a 3.4 mile walk with Shane.  I barely broke a sweat and the little beads of perspiration that did burst out, were from the agonizing pain of putting one foot in front of the other. Do you ever get that sore after a workout?  I hear that bath salts help.

On the agenda for Thursday is the following for Back and Abs:

  • Bent over barbell row 4 sets: 15, 12, 10, 8
  • Wide Grip Pull down to the front  4 sets: 12, 10, 10, 8
  • Seated Cable Row 3 sets: 12, 10, 10
  • Dumbbell Pullover 3 sets:  12, 10, 10
  • Pull Up 2 sets:  To Failure
  • Incline Reverse Crunch 3 sets x 20 reps each
  • Decline twisting crunch 3 sets x 20 reps each

I will try to warm up with a treadmill run, about 30 minutes and end with a run or jog with Shane for another 40 minutes. If the pain has gone, those goals shouldn’t be too difficult to reach.

Healthy Eats:

What do you eat when your hunger just isn’t there in the morning?  How about 1/4 cup Kashi GoLean cereal mixed with 1/4 cup of yogurt.

You can follow that up with a small protein shake.

MOVIE REVIEW:

dvd

Look who is in this movie!  Matthew McConaughey… oh my pounding heart!   Jennifer Garner plays a great roll as well.

This was a good movie.  The lesson learned in the end is good. It IS corny but … cute.  Definitely not for younger viewers due to the sexual content.  It is based on “A Christmas Carol”  with Matthew being an emotionally deficient “Scrooge” when it comes to relationships.

It’s worth a watch but men beware..it’s a chic flick!
