The animal world that exists at Donna’s house.  Who is Donna? Shane’s doggy sitter.  Donna comes to the house four times a day to feed and play with Shane when Ted and I are away.  He has such a great time with her!  She’s “Auntie Donna” to Shane.

Donna is the owner of a pet sitting service called “Paws and Claws Pet Sitting”.  She is so reliable and actually becomes part of the family.  Such a great feeling when you go away to know that your pet is so well cared for.  Donna feeds birds, cares for cats, dogs… not sure if there is any creature she wouldn’t take care of.

Recently, Donna and her husband converted the heifer barn into a chicken house. She intends to raise chickens for farm fresh eggs. No she won’t eat the adults! I asked and the response was “you know me better than that!”.  I do… just testing. 😀  Here are some family photos from Donna…

What about all those chicks?  Well these are new arrivals and Donna identified them by breed:

….a few colors of Polish, Frizzles, 20 Easter Eggers, Wyandottes., 2 roosters and 42 hens so we’ll have lots of fresh eggs 🙂

Don’t you just love the cute little innocence of the babies?

I think we have some Polish, Bantam, and Easter chicks.

Since I’m not a cat person, my question is …would the cat’s really enjoy being in that newly converted barn right now?  Would that be the ultimate play ground for them at this moment?   Shane’s not a cat but I know he would consider it a real good time!
