On Monday, I received an email from So Good Blog telling me I had won the “SO GOOD” granola give away.  Don’t you just LOVE to win things?!!!! But this was great because no sooner did JT send me an email saying I had won and to expect contact from MIX MY GRANOLA, than an email arrived from …. MIX MY GRANOLA with a promo code.

The granola was received on Wednesday.  Amazing service, don’t you think?!  It is such a novel idea and to make your own granola with your own  personal favorite ingredients.  You just have to check the site

Every ingredient option you can think of is available for your own granola mix and that comes without having to endure the mess of making it your self.  With every ingredient you add, you can see how the nutrition values change.

This is what I received:

dscn0877A total of 8 servings at a 1/4 cup per serving.

There is a neat looking label on the canister which gives the Nutrition Facts and says “Joanne’s Mix”.  You can name your mix after you have added all your ingredients.

This is what I picked for my granola make up:

  • Low-Fat Granola, Cranberries, Organic Dates, Chia Seeds, Crystallized Ginger, Rice Crispies, Amaranth Seeds.  The folks at Mix My Granola also added….”lots of LOVE”.  How sweet! A gift:9783

The nutrition facts for my mix, based on a 2 oz serving are as follows:  Calories = 227.  Total Fat = 5 g.  Sodium = 54 mg.  Carbohydrates = 40 g.  Fiber = 7 g.  Sugar = 15 g.  Protein = 6 g.

dscn0878Take a look at their site: MIXMYGRANOLA. It ‘s a great idea.

Also, don’t forget to check out the So Good Blog. His posts are really entertaining.

Thanks MMG team and Thanks JT at SGB.

One last note… Sue, Shane and I are off to South Carolina Friday AM to celebrate …1. Mother’s Day with our Mum and 2. Our parents 61st Wedding Anniversary.   That’s a lot of years.     There may be a lull in normal daily posts since we are driving and we aren’t sure if we will stop overnight or not.  Then of course  when I get to S.C., I have to hunt for a connection.  But I will keep you updated as to the happenings in the South. So, bye for now and enjoy the rest of this week.  Ta Ta!
