“Daffodils” (1804)
I WANDER’D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch’d in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed — and gazed — but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
By William Wordsworth (1770-1850).
It was easy getting up for a good workout today. It was “30’s day”. This means… 30 minutes of Elliptical. 30 minutes of Upper Body*. 30 minutes of running with Shane.
*Breaking the workout into upper and lower body, two times a week is ok for a change. It probably won’t work for me over an extended time because 1. I’m not doing enough reps. 2. The weight is heavy but not as heavy as when focusing on one body part per day. It is a good wake up call for the muscles though since they have gotten used to the normal routine.
Healthy eats….
I added a list of friends to my facebook page from my Oswego days. That was pretty cool seeing faces I haven’t seen in…. well… too many years. Another busy day at C-Flex so gotta fly. Take care all and remember… you can eat all those cookies just make sure you work them off somehow. 🙂
Love those flowers….
Love those flower pictures!
