What a day…so far.   I finished the Chocolate Peppermint Cream Pie. The experiment continues… how will it freeze.  But, according to Ted, the filling is phenomenal.

Check it out under the recipes for sweets. Since I used gelatin to make the filling, I won’t eat them, being a vegetarian.  Hopefully I won’t forget when it’s time to put them out or to test.

I baked the Chocolate Chip cookies – no pic as I’m sure everyone knows what they look like. But hold on ’cause I made the “Double Delight Peanut Butter Cookies” that won first prize in the Pillsbury Bake Off – and guys, rightly so. They are out of this world!  You can get the recipe from www.pillsbury.com/Recipes/PrintRecipe.aspx?rid=44842  I will most likely try the recipe again but I’ll do a molasses cookie with the peanut filling. By the way, Bonnie?  if you are tuned in, you guys are my “test family”. I’ll bring some of these goodies along with your Thanksgiving cake order.

We took Shane to PetSmart today to see if he might be ready for the Canine Good Citizen Test.  No Way!  He is just so excitable.  Laura, the gal who runs the training classes said they may have an Advanced II which would prepare him.  I hope so because I really want to do the test with him.  We can wait another 6 mos. or so because he is still so young.

That’s it for now. I’m going to pack up my cooled off cookies, put my feet up for 45 min. then get ready for the Murder-Mystery Dinner tonight.  Was it Mrs. Plum?
