It was a rainy start to this Thursday morning but ended up being another nice fall day in Upstate NY.

Should actually embark on turning over the garden… ummmm, no. Will wait for a nice weekend to do that.

The day began with a 30 minute treadmill run, 30 minutes of shoulder and ab training, 35 minutes of a run/walk with Shane… what a lazy dog he was this morning!  He initially just lay in his crate looking at me. Then I tried to squish myself into his crate to put on his reflective collar and he started playing with a gaping mouth… too many sharp teeth showing to fool around with that one. Finally, I got him to turn around then he flopped down again, still goofing off.  When we did get outside… luckily the rain had stopped,  he didn’t want to go.  I knew he’d speed it up once we turned for home so I dragged him along the first 1.25 miles.  Sure enough, he kicked into gear on the way home, but wasn’t his usual racey self. Guess dogs have those lazy days too.

Had a good breakfast: egg white omelet w/ broccoli, cherry tomatoes, spring onion, feta and goat cheese. Top w/ a tbsp of salsa and 1/2 an ezekiel english muffin. Fruit this morning was 2 oz fresh blueberries and 6 small strawberries.  A little bit of VPX vanilla protein to take my supplements.  Even after that big breakfast, I looked forward to my 10:15 AM snack:  apple w/ 1 TBS BetternButter & 1 TBS Naturally More P-Nut Butter.

Ted and I do the crossword puzzle every morning and it was a rough start this morning. We seem to have a bit more mental capability at noon and then work at full capacity come dinner.  So we complete the c/w in 3 stages… that is, about 3 days out of the week. We can’t always finish it.  Mum and Dad are c/w puzzle pros. They whip through it like the answers were right there.  It’s embarrassing when they come to NY for the summer and we have to ask for “crossword assistance”. 9485

The work day was busy. Since I’m cutting out early tomorrow I did some Friday work today then got into other unplanned projects. That’s just typical which is why I like to stay ahead and complete anything I know needs doing well ahead of time. I hate being under the gun even if I do work better that way.10504

Had to call a “gutter” guy to quote on gutters for the building because the corner of my office gets wet everytime it rains. Consequently, we lost 1/2 a box of pre-printed envelopes because I kept the box on the floor. After getting that quote, and being told we’d have to get a roofer in first to cut back the roof to make room for the gutters (is anything EVER easy?!!!) we decided it may prove more beneficial and .. eh hum… cheaper, to get it excavated to redirect water away from the building.  So, still waiting for another quote.

We had a bad bug day. Because the weather is warmer with humidity these nasty little bugs have monopolized the outside front of the building. Now I really hate killing things, but you get into my hair and jump on my body, it becomes a fight …me or you Mr. Bug!  I tried the ant & roach killer to see if that would work… Wallah! – on their backs with four bug legs in the air!

So to wrap up the day, Ted went to hit some golf balls 10574  and I checked out the progress on the wall…

So now it’s time to go settle down. Hope you all had a terrific Thursday and have a good night.
