Hazelnut Brownies2

  • 1/2 cup Hazelnut spread (such as Nutella)
  • 3 TBS semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick (8 TBS) unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 TBS all purpose flour (yes, that’s all!)
  • 1/2 cup chopped Macadamia nuts or you can use hazelnuts or another nut
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 TBS confectioners sugar to finish when cooled

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Spray an 8 x 8 pan with non stick baking spray.

Melt the hazelnut spread with the semi sweet chocolate and butter until combined. *If using the microwave, put on for 30 second increments and stir, continue until all is melted.

In a bowl, whisk the sugar and the eggs. Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl and mix thoroughly with the eggs and sugar.

Fold in the flour. Stir in the nuts and salt.

Bake for 30 – 40 minutes until a knife comes out clean when inserted in the middle.

Cool for 10 minutes then sprinkle with confectioners sugar, cut into squares and prepare your mouth for pure heaven.
