MIA = Missing In Action But…BAN=Back again Now.
This month has been amazing! Such a lot to do, traveling, working, socializing, chores…it just went on and on. Now my life can resume some normalcy. I was able to run this past week while in Philadelphia, suffering on a treadmill with a non-working video screen and no music. Two days of speed work and one easy, boring run, getting in a total of 18.25 miles on the mill. This week should be the first week since Boston where I’ve exceeded 25 miles. I’m expecting mid 30’s range.
It wasn’t so much running because I’ve started marathon training again, but just some exercise to maintain sanity while standing around all day at a manufacturing show. Along with “sanity maintenance”, I did want to get a good mileage base in before beginning training next week.
A lot of good things happening this weekend. For one, it’s Memorial Day weekend which means one extra day off, although catching up on 4 days of work missed won’t make it seem like a long weekend. But after all is done, the fun begins. I’ll go for a 12 – 14 mile run Saturday, maybe half of that with my pup, Mr. Shane who I missed soooo much! I have a massage then some mundane things to do. At some point we will purchase our summer flowers, hanging plants and possibly a bush or two. Sunday is the first of Ted’s scheduled triathlons. That will be so much fun!
Here’s to good weather, fun with friends, successful eventing and a brilliant, wonderful weekend!
What are your plans?
It’s going to be a quiet weekend around here with biking and home projects! Hope you get back into the home groove quickly 😀
This weekend should be a lot of busy fun, once the work is out of the way. Happy and safe cycling to you. 🙂
I know what you mean … I love getting time off but heading back to the office is always a nightmare and makes me wonder why I took the time off in the first place. Happy holiday weekend!
That’s the worst part of the trip: walking back into your office and seeing the pile on the desk. UGG!
I love the beginning of summer. I always want to bottle it up right now and keep it–the weather, the beach trips ahead, summer running. Sounds like you have a great long weekend planned!
I’m with you. The best part of summer is the beginning.
Looking forward to the long weekend…It’s gonna be all about food, family and conversations..
Yup! I have made a little planning beforehand but I am sure they wont be definite until the day itself. Keep posting! Have a great weekend!
enjoy your weekend.
