Any which way you spell it, it is still the month that brings the showers.  We had those this past weekend in central New York.  Our Sunday bike ride was put on the back burner because both Ted and I got a chill while walking Shane.  We went 4 + miles.  It was cold, little windy, and wet.  We still intended to bike to breakfast but on the walk home both of us said we were just too cold.

The birds were having a party at the bird feeder and didn’t mind the wet weather at all.

The workout plan for the week is back up to full intensity.   I had to buy some funkadilla socks because that one toe insists on getting a blister every time I go for a long run now.  They are from Injinji.

I wore them today for a very comfortable 8.59 mile run.  Shane went with me for 4.

I felt heavy on my run today.  Yesterday, we had the family Riggie Fest and I ate a lot of pasta late in the day. I’m not used to eating a lot of pasta.  Just to be safe, I think I’ll stick to either squash, sweet potato or rice for my carbo-loading days, especially if I have the starch later in the day.  On Friday’s however, sampling a tiny bit (approx. 1/4 cup) of dry pasta when we are out to dinner won’t over burden my system.

Monday:  4.5 T/M run + 45min. chest and back + 4.09 mile run with Shane.  Total running miles = 8.59

Tuesday:  60 minute cross train + 25 minute leg workout + 35 minute walk with Shane

Wednesday:  18 mile run *  This may be 16-17 or so miles but if time allows, I’ll go the distance.  I want to increase Shane’s running miles so he can go with me up to 12.  I’ll be doing at least 10 on the T/M then will take the pooch out and we will run another 7-8 hopefully.  He really needs to do 8 but it will come down to how I feel.    Ted and I are also hoping to go on a cycle ride with the Mohawk Valley Bike Club.  If the weather is good, we’ll do it.

Thursday:  30 min. cross + 45 minutes of shoulders, arms, abs + 3 mile recovery run for both of us.

Friday:  Walk

Saturday:  85 minute run.

Sunday:  Walk/Cycle
