Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed in the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.  So, throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails.    Mark Twain

Shane and I enjoyed a quiet morning walking down the Parkway.  Today’s goal was to walk 60 minutes.  Goal met:  1 hour 5 minutes.  4.53 miles.

I decided, as creepy as it is sometimes, I prefer running and walking in the mornings before the sun comes up.  The cars are fewer which means less exhaust to take my breath away. It’s quiet.  The air is crisp and clean.  The early morning just feels healthier to me.  Besides, I have a guardian angel that follows me.  My Angel was with me on this particular morning.

Shane and I were walking down a back road to avoid the sidewalks that hadn’t been shoveled.  There was a stretch where the street lights were off.   As we were going through this dark patch, a car was approaching and it wasn’t moving over towards the middle to avoid us.  Just as it was nearing, the street light overhead turned on.  The car moved to the opposite side of the road to avoid us.  Lucky?  Guardian Angel?  or simply a motion detector on the light?   I like to think it was my Guardian Angel keeping an eye on us.
